| | A year ago I began painting with pastels. It opened a whole new world to me as I had been first an oil painter than acrylic and for the past 20 years a watercolorist. I paint every day, as painting keeps me going. In 2011 I received 14 awards, including an award from The Pastel Society of the West Coast. I was also accepted in the 42nd Annual California Watercolor National Exhibition. - LaVone Sterling
