Cal Gold - This website created by the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) assists you in finding appropriate permit information for your business across all statewide and local agencies.
Business License/Tax Brochure – A Business Tax Certificate from the City of Visalia is required prior to conducting any business, trade, or profession in the City of Visalia.
Permit Counter - Provides a "one stop shop" for the general public, the building industry and the development community. The counter staff will help direct your project needs, intake your applications, issue business tax certificates and issue a variety of city permits.
Site Plan Review - Site Plan Review is a FREE pre-application process that gives citizens relevant feedback on any changes they wish to make to a site. You should start by contacting the Valley Innovative Energy Watch (VIEW) Partnership to get a comprehensive look at resources available. In terms of financing, Visalia businesses have access to three PACE financing options:
(Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing is a program that enables property owners to install renewable energy, energy and water efficiency improvements with little or no up-front costs. The financing is paid on tax bills tied to the useful life of the improvements up to 20 years. PACE is property qualified financing; not credit-based, and the repayment obligation stays with the property.)
