 Lion’s Park Grand Opening 

Visalia celebrated the grand opening of its newest neighborhood park- Lion’s Park- on Saturday, November 13, 2010.  The 4 acre park is located in Northwest Visalia; West Ferguson Avenue and Denton (1/4 mile east of Shirk). Park amenities include two park playgrounds, small group shelter facility for picnics, basketball court, small picnic tables, open turfed play areas, street skate elements, landscaping including trees and shrubs, drinking fountain, walking path (sidewalk) around the perimeter of the park.  

Park designers included Architect: HLA Group out of Sacramento; General Contractor: BMY Construction in Fresno and Project Manager Bill Wagonhalls.  Park Construction cost was: $652,000.  Lion’s Club Park brings the total number of parks in Visalia to 34 with over 240 developed park acres.
