| The 2nd Annual Healthy Visalia Festival” was held on Saturday, October 22 at the Riverway Sports Park CR Shannon Baseball Complex. The event boasted 50 health and wellness booths. Several thousand participants visited the booths, watched dance performances and participated in activities from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Visalia Mayor Bob Link and Kaweah Delta Health Care District CEO Lindsay Mann kicked off the event with an event introduction. Activities included raffled prizes, bounce houses, Disc Golf, La Sierra climbing wall and other active play. The event featured the “Rethink your Drink” campaign to drink less soda and more water for health.
A special thanks to the Healthy Visalia Committee members that included Tulare County Health and Human Services, City of Visalia, Kaweah Delta Healthcare District, Visalia Unified School District, Family HealthCare Network, College of Sequoias, First 5 Tulare County & Tulare County Office of Education.
