The first annual Vi-Tri for Kids held Saturday, June 11, 2011 was successful hosting over 100 participants. Triathlon participants competed in swimming, biking and running distances. Youth participants traveled to compete from as far away as Manhattan Beach, CA. All participants received a t-shirt, finisher medal, healthy snacks and goodie bag with coupons from event sponsors. Event organizers are already looking to improve the event and provide a bigger and better event for 2012. Race Director John Bradley said, “It is exciting to see so much community support for youth health and wellness from both parents and business sponsors.”
