The Visalia Police Department is committed to providing the highest level of service to our community. To achieve this goal it is imperative that we forge partnerships with our community, a philosophy that is also known as “COPPS”, Community Oriented Policing and Problem Solving. The Visalia Police Department is pleased to announce we have recently made significant strides in enhancing the interaction between our citizens and the Police Department, which we believe will ultimately improve the quality of life in Visalia.

We have recently opened two new Police substations in north and south Visalia to assist with this effort. The District 1 substation is located at 204 NW 3^rd Avenue and oversees policing for the city north of Highway 198. The District 2 substation is located at 4100 S. County Center Drive and is responsible for patrol operations south of Highway 198. Headquarters is at 303 S. Johnson, Visalia, CA 93291.

We have also gone from having 46 service sectors in the city with (1) officer assigned to each sector to having (16) new service sectors with 2-3 officers assigned to each. There are (4) police Agents who oversee these service sectors, (2) for District 1 and (2) for District 2. We are confident that this team approach will increase our efficiency and allow citizens greater access to their respective sector officers.
