This program targets second through sixth grade students at 23 elementary schools within the Visalia Unified School District.  A police officer spends one week at each school teaching hour long gang awareness classes in individual classrooms.  After each week of instruction, the officer provides a gang awareness presentation to interested parents as well as individual counseling for at risk youth identified by school officials.
