The Gang Suppression Unit consists of eight officers, an Agent and Sergeant.  GSU's function is the identification and apprehension of gang members and associates, as well as testifying as Gang Experts in court proceedings.

The unit has one Officer assigned to work with children in schools teaching gang prevention and intervention.
