What is Visalia PAL?
The Visalia Police Activities League (PAL) was established in 1991 as a citywide, after-school crime prevention program to provide outreach to local youth and build positive relationships between youth, police officers and the community. The mission of Visalia PAL is to foster a bond with mutual trust, and understanding between police officers and young people through interaction in a non-confrontational setting. A variety of educational and recreational programs and activities are offered to youth ages 7 to 17 years with an emphasis placed on reaching those who are "at-risk". PAL Membership and all programs are free.
PAL's objectives are: 1. To provide youth an opportunity to grow under the sustained guidance of dedicated adults.
2. To instill in youth a respect and understanding for law enforcement officers and for the laws they uphold.
3. To assist youth in developing self-esteem and provide them with skills to help stay them in school.
4. To involve police officers, parents, and community volunteers in personal committments of time, talents, and energy to the youth of the community. For more information, call 559-732-2233 701 E. Race Ave. Visalia, CA 93292
