Chaplains Corps

The Visalia Police Department's Chaplain Corps currently has eight members.  The role of the Chaplain is to perform invocations & convocations at Departmental functions and/or City functions when requested.  Chaplains are also available to respond to assist citizens in the community and /or members of the Department during a situation, whether as a response to a high stress incident or as ongoing need for counseling & spiritual guidance (if sought).  Types of incidents VPD Chaplains respond to include death notifications, officer involved shootings, etc.
