The City of Visalia offers front-loading metal refuse containers (bins) in the following sizes:

• 1 cubic yards & split 1 cubic yard bins

• 2 cubic yards & split 2 cubic yard bins

• 3 cubic yards & split 3 cubic yard bins

• 4 cubic yards & split 4 cubic yard bins

• 6 cubic yards & split 6 cubic yard bins

• 8 cubic yards & split 8 cubic yard bins

Commercial collection is available from one to five days per week to meet the needs of your business.  The split bins are used in those cases where a customer would like to recycle (it costs less!) but does not have the room for two bins.  The bin has a divider insider so trash can be put in one side and recycables in the other.  Two different trucks empty the bin. 

We can also provide containers on casters for tight locations, container locks to prevent unauthorized usage, and collection of non-city owned compactors.

Businesses and multi-family commercial customers with City provided commercial services are eligible to participate in our commercial recycling program.

Compare our Service Features

Container Maintenance: We provide the containers as well as maintain and repair them as needed at no extra cost to the customer. Maintaining sanitary conditions in and around the container is the responsibility of the customer. Please "Bag & Tie" all garbage.

No Missed Collections: We provide service on or for all holidays. If there is a driver's holiday they will work on Saturday to make the time up. If the holiday is on Monday, they work Tuesday through Saturday. If the holiday is another day in the week, your pickup day shifts one day over. For the Thanksgiving holiday, those who are normally serviced Thursday and Friday receive service on Friday and Saturday.

Same Day Special Pick-ups: If for any reason you generate more waste than normal and need more than your scheduled amount of weekly collections, just call us. In most cases we will be able to provide you with a special collection that same day.
