I want to complain about a broken sidewalk

Sidewalk, curb & gutter and Drive approach improvements are provided for public safety within the public right of way on each property.  It is each property owner's responsibility to maintain those improvements that are in the public right of way on their property.  to report a broken sidewalk please call Public Works at 713-4428.  The City will evaluate the problem, and if there is an immediate trip hazard present, will take steps to mitigate the hazard by grinding or ramping the damaged area, and send a letter to the property owner advising them of the hazard.

I want to complain about flooding in my neighborhood

If there is no immediate danger to life or property, please call the Public Works Customer Service line at 713-4428 during normal work hours to report the condition.   If the situation is after hours and cannot wait until normal business hours, please call the Police Department non-emergency at 734-8116.  If there is an emergency, call 911. 

I want to complain about garbage cans left on the sidewalk

Please call the Solid Waste Customer Care Center at 1-855-203-1315.

I want to complain about potholes

Please call the Public Works Customer Service line at 713-4428.  A work request will be generated to investigate your request. 

I want to complain about tree roots lifting up the sidewalk

It is each property owner's responsibility to maintain the concrete improvements that are in the public right of way on their property (sidewalks, curb & gutter, drive approaches).  If the tree causing the damage is in the public right of way and is being maintained by the City, the City may (at its discretion) remove the tree and repair the sidewalk.  Please call Public Works Customer Service at 713-4428 to have the area evaluated to determine responsibility.  If there is an immediate trip hazard present, the City will mitigate the hazard by grinding or asphalt ramping the affected area.

I want to complain about uncollected trash

Please call the Customer Care Center at 1-855-203-1315.  The reason your trash was not picked up will be determined and if it was just simply missed every effort will be made to collect your trash as quickly as possible.  If there was a reason your trash was not picked up (contamination, blocked access, etc.), you will be required to correct the condition before your trash will be picked up, and additional fees may apply.

The drains/sewers in my street smell bad
