Mural Policy and Application
The Visalia City Council adopted a mural policy in 2004, and it was slightly revised in 2011 to accommodate new technology.

On December 3, 2013, the Visalia City council appointed a mural policy review committee to review the City's current mural policy and make recommendations. It was recommended that the review committee be comprised of: two representatives from the Arts Consortium, one representative from the Downtown Alliance, one representative from the Planning Commission and one representative from the Chamber of Commerce. The new policy and guidelines were approved by the Visalia City Council on May 19, 2014.
